The Bluebell Fairy - Welcome to the Bluebell Fairy's website DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC? THE BLUEBELL FAIRY AND OTHER TALES OF WOODLAND ENCHANTMENT by Michelle A. Soden-Gilkes WELCOME FAIRYFOLK ANIMALS & BIRDS GALLERY BOOKS FAIRYBLOG Welcome to The Bluebell Fairy's website There is so much evidence out there that there are secret inhabitants working away to make our forests beautiful even though many of them can't be seen by adults or children who don't believe they are there. Some fairies are disguised as flowers, and did you know that even your garden gnomes come to life at night (it's moon magic) and do some gardening of their own whilst everyone else sleeps. Gnomes don't like to be seen working (or told what to do) which is why during the day they are sleeping statues. You can see magic everywhere if you look for it and of course most importantly you have to believe that it exists for any of your wishes to come true. On this website you can a learn a little more about the magical beings that live in the woodland enchantment, and what they do there. Everyone is important and everyone contributes to keeping the forest a happy and beautiful place. Do you know any secret fairies? The enchanted woodland is not the only place where you find beings with special powers . There are people that have magical gifts that they are just unaware of. Some people have the gift to light up the day with a smile, some people have the gift of inspiring something or someone, some people have the gift of always knowing the right thing to say at the right time, and have you ever stood next to someone and just felt peaceful and relaxed? Everyone has a magical gift but do you know what yours is? If not try asking family and friends if they know what your special gift is and then see if you can find the magic in others. Where will you go to see the Bluebells? England's Bluebell flowering season happens anytime in Spring, usually between late April and early May dependent on the previous winter conditions. The bluebell carpets in full bloom are a sign of Britain's remaining ancient woodland, and the protection of this rich habitat for the wildlife and plants is extremely important. Britain's bluebells are protected by law making it illegal for anyone to remove the bulbs of the wild plants. The Bluebell Fairy is a story inspired by a sighting of a white bluebell over 20 years ago in Christmas Common, Oxfordshire, U.K. To see a wild british white flowerhead is extremely rare as these are perhaps only one amongst 10,000, but spanish white plants are more common. Where will you go and see the bluebells this year? Check out the link below to find a woodland near you. BRITISH BLUEBELL WOODS Have you seen any fairies? I would love to see your photos, paintings or drawings of fairies, and the best ones I will create a new gallery for. Do you have any fairy friends that can sit still long enough for you to draw them? Most of the fairies I know can't sit still for longer than a human heartbeat. I would love to see your pictures. Please email them to Did you know... TRUE: Bluebell plants are poisonous! Unless you're a cookmouse don't eat them, and wash your hands after handling them. MYTH: A bluebell wreath compels the wearer to speak the truth. LEGEND: The bluebell is a symbol of constancy, and possibly the origin of 'something blue' a bride wears on her wedding day. TRUE: It's estimated nearly 50% of the world's bluebells grow in the U.K., that's alot of bluebell paint and work for our fairies. ?2016 MICHELLE A. SODEN-GILKES. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Whois
